Job Summary:
We are recruiting on behalf of our client in the oil and gas industry for an experienced Internal Control Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehousing, logistics, and the oil & gas sector, with a proven track record in risk assessment, compliance, and internal audit processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement internal control policies, procedures, and frameworks.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in operations, particularly in warehousing, logistics, and supply chain management.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, financial standards, and corporate policies.
• Perform internal audits and investigations to prevent fraud, inefficiencies, and operational risks.
• Collaborate with different departments to improve processes and ensure seamless operations.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Maintain documentation of control activities and report findings to senior management.
Key Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years experience in internal control, audit, or compliance within the oil & gas, warehousing, or logistics industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, CPA, or ACCA will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of risk management, financial controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to analyze data and identify discrepancies or areas of improvement.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in audit software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
