Job Overview

The Operations Command Officer is responsible for continuously monitoring IT services, including applications, channels, middleware, and infrastructure, to ensure proactive and immediate incident resolution while maintaining system reliability and performance. Monitoring and ensure that the quality of the services offered by the bank is compliant with service specifications. This position requires collaboration with technical and operational teams to ensure monitoring capabilities align with service requirements and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee real-time monitoring of applications, banking channels, middleware, and infrastructure services

• Troubleshoot and respond to incidents promptly to minimize downtime and maintain service reliability.

• Participate in the provisioning and transition phases of new systems and services.

• Analyze transaction failures across multiple platforms and assist to identify causes to mitigate future occurrences.

• Maintain records of calls using ticketing software, and document problem history for future reference and analysis.

• Provide a monthly report to Operational and Technical staff on service availability for various applications in operation.

• Create reports summarizing the status of operational services to provide insights for business stakeholders.

Requirements & Qualifications

• B.Sc. (Minimum of Second Class Lower) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field 

• Proven experience as an IT Officer or similar role

• Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and security protocols

• Proficient in the use of common software applications and tools
